OUR PROGRAMS

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION SUPPORT FOR ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN

We collaborate with local schools to offer low-tuition to children from poor families and free-tuition education to orphans and vulnerable children. With volunteers, we also offer technical guidance and support to the school, which includes assistance in administration, provision of textbooks, storybooks and encyclopedias, empowering school feeding programs and provision of conducive classrooms.

                                               THE IMPACT

                 170

orphans and vulnerable children have been kept in school since 2012.

                  26

orphans and vulnerable children graduated from primary school and were placed on half and full scholarships in our partner secondary schools.

                       78%

of young children left fishing and other child labor activities for attending school. To date, children are hardly seen engaging in these manpower activities.

                                      HOW IT WORKS

              25

Have graduated from this life-changing program since 2013.

                         18

of the graduates have been able to set up their own businesses and are working to support their families and communities.

                21

needy and jobless girls have been trained by program graduates for free. This is an initiative of graduates getting involved in helping the community with the skills they acquired.

                  FIGHTING THE CAUSE

we still foresee the existence of the need, as our young orphans and vulnerable children who are currently placed in our partner primary school may not get a chance to further their studies to be able to qualify for professional jobs.

These children shall therefore need to be trained in vocational skills, once they graduate from primary school and are unable to proceed for further studies.

We want to stop dependability among youths, and to reduce vulnerability risks for the future generation.

                                               this struggle starts now!

“only a knowledgeable, empowered and vocal citizenry can perform well in democracy”, David Brin.

To achieve this, Every community shall need a well established;

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, RECREATIONAL AND INFORMATION CENTER

THIS PROPOSED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL & SKILLS TRAINING CENTER SHALL PROVIDE EDUCATION AND SUSTAINABLE SKILLS TO 150 ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN FROM ALL UGANDA PARTS.

       COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

( DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT TO COMMUNITY GROUPS)

THIS PROGRAM EMPOWERS INDIGENOUS ORGANISED WOMEN GROUPS IN COMMUNITIES
Through various projects such as.....
MANUAL SKILLS TRAINING & EMPOWERMENT

Under this project, we train women to get involved in finding possible solutions to community challenges, such as health, provision of clean water and storage, home hygiene and others, through engaging themselves in manual skills.

AGRO-PROCESSING AND VALUE ADDITION

For long, women have been farmers but have not gained from their farming investiments because they lacked a technical know-how to add value to their products.
This project therefore empower women to learn agro-processing and value addition through provision of agro-processing equipments such as grain milling machines, training in modern farming and environment conservation.

EMPOWERING WOMEN IN BUSINESS

In whatever women do out of their ability and interest, we offer our support to empower their initiatives. we offer free consultation services, evaluations and research related to their initiatives.
Most of the women we empower are widows, and single-mothers who often get involved in any type of work to earn a living.

SOFT SKILLS FOR THE ELDERLY

Many of the elderly women or mothers become dependent because they lack what to do to earn a living. This often leaves both the caretaker and the beneficiary in disparity especially when resources become insufficient.

we therefore support the elderly women and men with soft skills such as knitting, craft-making and others to enable them continue to be productive as they live.

EMPOWERING WOMEN IN SMALL MARKET ENTERPRISES (SME)

For decades, women have faced many effects due to financial inequality. They have been victims of domestic violence and denial of proper paid services simply because they have been excluded from economic development.

We therefore encourage and empower women to start up and manage home businesses as a key to sustainable development.
Empowering women to improve their financial status has enabled women to be powerful and to engage in leadership roles for their own communities.

VILLAGE SAVINGS AND LOANING ASSOCIATIONS (VISLA) PROGRAMS

This program is intended to empower women and men in remote villages to adopt a saving culture. Since many people in villages are not familiar with banking, this program enables them to learn the benefits of savings and future planning.
In addition, this program also enables them to loan their savings to fellow members, to which loans are returned with 3% interest to enable their savings multiply in a given time.
This does not only add profits to those who save BUT also empowers their home businesses to fight poverty.
This program is aimed at fighting poverty from the root (first-level people in communities)
